So when I woke up this morning, I saw the Night 3 results: "Someone occupied your night, you were roleblocked!"
Wtf? An escort? Why are you doing this? Why didn't you go with the plan?
Then I saw "Game Over" on the thread and decided to check it out.
Oh... a consort. WIFOM between me and Mick. And I knew Mick was Vet. But then I think Mick and I left some hints to who was the vig and vet.

Mafia chat was hosted here on the forums. Google doc is just a spreadsheet that contains the rolelist and night actions since it's a simpler way to present the information and it helps the mod keep track of actions more easily.
Kinda miss the old way where the rolelist would be posted with names next to it since it seemed more formal but night actions are a whole lot easier to read.

What! Cyantic the Invest didn't invest N1? Possibly due to the Vet.

Meant to do something like this earlier but a lot of stuff came up. It's mostly just some scattered thoughts.
Spoiler: I feel as if everybody got their footing towards the end of the game. D1 and D2 were rough and uneventful, which, to be fair, is often what happens in NFM games. However, town suffered in the end since everybody bandwagoned on an inactive person without much motivation for doing so. As Invenio stated D1 it's best not to sheep other people and at times I think on D2 at least that's what people were beginning to do. On D3 I saw that people were becoming much more vocal with their opinions, which is a good thing, especially at that point of the game. Another suggestion is to make reads, which I saw people beginning to do towards the end of D2 as well, rather than just waiting for investigations. The no lynching however didn't concern me, not because I was mafia, but because I figured it wouldn't really amount to anything. What did was the attitude people held towards it at times about just waiting for tomorrow- what if the investigative role died, which they did?
You will all find that the game is more fun when you're more active. Plus a more active environment helps all factions. You would imagine mafia benefits from inactivity but it's harder for mafia players to redirect the town away from them during an inactive period.
The night actions by town were good though. Mick did a good job of almost baiting us for example as we contemplated killing him on the second night.
Another thing is that it's best to avoid softclaiming in general or hardclaiming when it's not needed. Obi pointed out that some people softclaimed citizen. I never saw that but giving information about your role away to scum is dangerous unless you're vet baiting without the fear of a protective being on you. Case in point: my first game where somebody softclaimed Retributionist and the mafia I was in roleblocked and killed them.
Finally, it's nice to be more confident in your reads. After all if you're town you have no real reason to lie about them- maybe sometimes keep them closer to yourself- but the more you make reads and the more confidente you feel in them the more you will improve. And it's OK to be wrong since everybody is going to be wrong a lot of times.
