Episode IX | Game Over! (Bomb Boyage)

1) Titles: This is an official game and therefore, titles will be rewarded, however, if it is decided at the FM Moderator Team's discretion that a player did not put in effort towards their victory, then they will not receive a title. So please put effort and contribute to your team's victory.

2) Inactivity: If a player hasn't posted in the thread within 36 hours, I will prod them for inactivity. If they do not respond to the prod within 18 hours of it being sent, they will be replaced. Receiving two prods will result in an automatic replacement. Posts must be productive to the game and anything else will be seen as prod dodging and will not reset the prod timer.

3) Be Respectful: I will not tolerate any homophobic, racist, sexist, or any otherwise discriminatory behavior. Any type of behavior like this will be punished by being forcibly replaced. Remember that this is a game and if you feel that you're too on edge, take a break from it. I will step in and ask people to calm down if it starts getting too heated. So please, refrain from personal attacks.

4) Gamethrowing: Any attempt to intentionally make your faction lose the game will result in being blacklisted from future games. This includes shooting a revealed Mayor as a Vigilante or executing a confirmed Town member as a Jailor. All your actions must be done with the goal of winning as your faction and have a clear, logical explanation for your actions. This can include Jesting.

5) Spam: Do not post multiple times in a row if it can be avoided. It detracts from the game and makes it harder for people to catch up. Use quotes and spoilers to make one large post instead of many small ones as well as using the preview function to look at your post before posting it. I will spoiler excessively long posts at my own discretion.

6) No Outside Communication: Do not use outside methods of communication to disclose your role or any other similar information about this game to another player. Dead players may only speak to dead players, with a Medium using their night action being the only exception to this rule. Breaking this rule will result in being blacklisted from future games.

7) Last Wills, Deathnotes, and Night Actions: Be sure to label all PMs to me accordingly or you risk the chance that I'll miss the PM and not process whatever you wanted done. The proper way to label them is:

"Episode IX Last Will"
"Episode IX Deathnote"
"Episode IX Night Action"

8) Whispers: There will be no whispers this game.

9) Flavor: Flavor should not be used to infer anything or support arguments as it is as the title implies, flavor text.

10) Previous Episode Participants/Joining Requirements: Players that participated in the last Episode will not be allowed to join this one. For example, if you joined Episode VIII, then you may not join Episode IX. Players must also have played at least three games to be able to sign up for an Episode. Players may only be in an Episode if they sign up for it; they may not have a second game.

11) Fun: The most important rule is to have fun because this is a game and shouldn't be treated as anything aside from that.

The turning of the machinery is the first thing you hear as you step into your brand new work place and you see that the smelting occurs in giant cylindrical pots off at the far end of the factory.

As soon as you enter, the heat I'd apparent and you understand why your employer suggested wearing clothing that was a bit thinner. You see a man with a large stomach that portrudes out like it wishes to erupt from his suit and a fine curly mustache and when he catches you in his sight, he flashes you a smile and walks over.

"Welcome to the future! Your work space is over on that end. I hope you do well to help us make a tidy profit my good friend. Anyway, I'll tell you where the company lodging are after work is done for the day. I wish you the best of luck!"

The man walks off, leaving you to begin on your work and perhaps to get to know your fellow employees.

Day One Begins! It will end on February 17th at 7:30 A.M. (UTC -7).

Third is the one with the hairy chest

Why does he say "Welcome to the future" when we've clearly regressed into the 1880's?

Thoughts about the role list and the player list?

I am a bit worried by the relatively high number of people who have a general scummy meta ( no offence ), from what I know; to which you have to add the low number of confirmable town roles.

From personal experience, people who use too many exclamation points are usually scum.

I think the rolelist complements the playerlist very well - an abundance of town for every town to look scummy. Although some players do have the scummy meta it is still possible to read them and we shouldn't give up trying. It'll be a challenge but we can pull this off.

Yeah, exclamation points are scum!!!!!!!

What do you mean?

Lots of naturally scummy people, lurkers, etc.

I just did? The rolelist, with this kind of playerlist, benefits scum because there are a large number of known scummy people that aren't provable.

Hello all

also boo to flavour in episodes. I demand flavourless pure vanilla episodes. Harumph.

Sounds legit I buy it.

There's definitely a few people with scummy meta.

On the role list:

Potential for 2 kills each night if SK rolled. Does Marshall scare off Bombers planting a fuse? (I assume they do and that bombers are classed as killing roles) If they do, that's a role which could come in particularly handy as there's so much that can be scared off - though it does give Bomber somewhat of a safe hiding spot too.

2 random mafia will make it harder to narrow down what roles they have if they aren't immediately obvious ones like Janitor.

2 night immune neutrals + Witch should make it harder for scum to narrow down who the witch is if they do hit an immune.

Doc/Arso and BG/SK invest pairings make me hope the protective and NK that rolled are non-paired (unless it was Marshall), since it would make one protective easily confirmed by an invest.

I think Invest and Lookout are probably the best TIs to roll for us, since Sheriff can't find Witch/Bomber/Arsonist/Godfather.

There's three random towns but we don't know how many counts of cit are in there which makes it hard to speculate on what might roll there.

People have to be active and contribute to the victory in order to get the flairs. So the lurks should be really active!

Cowabunga dudes!

About the role list- Five counts of Citizen, but no more than one rolling in RT is standard, y/n?
