Basically, Varanus had a bunch of freaky shit happen to him. Either his result has been tampered with or he saw a 2nd protective self-heal.

For that reason I won't disclose his exact message- but assuming the game isn't bastard- which it probably is, he was visited by at least three people the night he died. I'll ask him if he wants me to disclose the exact result with this in mind.

Also- keep in mind that Varanus was a Tracker. From the looks of it, he was a flavor Lookout.

Oh, and when I said that my abilities involve votes and lynches, technically I wasnt lying because I require one additional vote to have been lynched.
