CJ, you weren't here long enough, but 2014 FM there was a very passive and sheepy meta at the time in which no one pushed their agenda. Doctor is a 2014 player.

All these players have mostly not yet even adopted a more aggressive stance even in 2016, so scum reading someone town tells still makes little sense

This does not apply to all 2014 players, only some. And frankly it isnt really an attribute associated with 2014 players but rather with a playstyle that was perhaps more common at the time.

Each of these gods have an item with them.
They may choose to give a player their item permanently in exchange for that player's item. This will all happen at the end of the day.
The day may not be shortened or extended due to this mechanic.
The two gods will return to the graveyard once their job is done.
