Pretty sure D1 is as important as other days.

Like I said before, anyone who rushes to do reads early just winds up having to post many "this person has crap activity so I guess a null read".

You need to wait for everyone to say quite a few things worth of content. Otherwise, yeah, it's just obvious the person is trying to look Town, and is probably evil.

Trying to build a read of someone isn't scummy, but IMO building an early list is.

You're absolutely right, Creature- which is why I told Cow:

We answer questions, we don't create them.

Or, do both.

Asking questions to gain answers is +information, and that's always a benefit, if you ask me. Just as long as you're not the type to react violently after being asked a question at all.

This is why it's always important to remain calm if someone seems to not like you very much as well. The more nervous you seem, the more people will probably want to lynch you, and if you're just an extremely anxious Town member- always keep that in mind.

I like to say that in every game I play about the first person whose name pokes out at me in case I'm actually right. But it's mainly just a hunch with absolutely zero evidence.

You're right, it is absolutely zero evidence. Just wanted to remind you that this isn't Town of Salem. Here, you don't just go after people for just greeting you. Especially an IC- our first posts are pretty much all about trying to help you.

You respond by Scum-reading one of us. (You actually go a step further, and say she's always like this when scum, which is REALLY striking).

So 1, I think you're just dead wrong. And 2, your mindset is really inappropriate for Day 1. If you're trying to mislynch someone, Retral, that's usually how it ends up happening- baseless attacking of people based on crappy gut reads. Or, of course, by deliberately setting them up for mislynch as Mafia.

Generally no. Wait until you have more experience. Many reaction tests just get you lynched.

Probably not in this game. Failed reaction tests usually lead to claims. If they're Scum, they claim Citizen, (basically 0/10 progress) and if they're Power Town, then it's even worse for us. There is an incredibly small list of FM players who I let get away with reaction testing- and generally, they're only best used on people not paying attention. The people I don't give shit to for reaction tests, I feel, correctly evaluate the situation (and the high likihood of innocence of the player) before doing it.

If you're bad at preliminary evaluation of the situation, then I feel they are more likely to cause harm than good.

People who just replace into a game tend to be excellent reaction test targets.

But since people here are generally new and we don't know how often you guys are paying attention, then again- more probable harm than good.
