First rule of D1 lynches in closed games. Don't vote until the day is about to be over. We don't want SFM 12 to happen again.

Okay, okay. Going to try to explain this in a reasoned manner.

A D1 lynch is incredibly powerful. Not just because it has "possibility" of lynching scum, but because it makes votes analysable. Town has a wide margin on D1, so a mislynch is worth it for the goldmine of information. Even if we don't lynch today, NOBODY should /nolynch, and instead let the day run out naturally, instead of... you know... cutting it short.

Does that make sense, LOF?

Hopefully we wont have half the Town get themselves modkilled on day 2. I feel that doing so would be bad. Not only would it give scum the win on a silver platter but it would also ruin all the hard work put into making this game.

That is highly unlikely to happen, given the game has been reviewed for quality and balance by like six different people plus practically every fm mod

I mean, why waste the lynch, LoF? We'll never know how big the Mafia is this early, and we'll never know if we're in LyLo. Fancy that the only people who could ever tell us that is the Mafia, and at best, they could be bluffing. At worst... well, they've won.

It's not like we can expect massive amount of information to just come pouring in tomorrow either. I will agree with you about the early reads, though.

Also,

I'm not a new player by any standard, but lately I've seen lots of l33tspeak and Mafia jargen. Can we tone down the code speaking, or- if you're going to do it, just use the full abbreviation first? Thanks.

Voting is fine. It's a goldmine of potential information. See a scummy sheep vote, or someone flipflopping? That's already great. Scum don't have time to plan D1 on when to start distancing, they can only react and hope everything works out. Nobody should be afraid to vote, just so there's more to pick apart later on in the game. Just make sure your actual votes have reasoning, if you're going to be serious about them.

Now can we get on track with posting about skeletons and shit?

I was placing my vote to make a statement of my opinion. If other people NoLynch then whoever hammers the NoLynch would become the policy lynch scum of the next day.
And if they flip Jester, then it would be likely that Mafia would have pushed in the lynch because from a mafia POV, any non-mafia lynch is a mislynch by the town.

See my logic here now?

Everything I do has logical and tactical purpose. Dont scumread me because you dont understand what I am doing.

I am saying this because I can see that this is where you were going with what you said.

Different opinions promote discussion, and I fully plan on bringing up different opinions and perhaps unpopular opinions throughout the game to ensure that all angles are covered (or at least as many angles as possible get covered; it is a closed game after all)

Okay, so is there even a point speculating the #Possibilities? Normally I'm an advocate of this, but the last time I was in a closed game, I screwed it up because I made wayyyyy too many assumptions

I will say that I will probably marry my role card during the course of this game... probably at least a baker's dozen times

inb4everyonethinksI'maBaker
#totallynotaPWjoke

Well from the flavor, my rolecard, and my knowledge on the game I can see this working mostly 1 way.
We're seperated into multiple groups(probably 1 has more numbers, but not majority)that correspond to different game endings, and each group has to annihilate people from the other groups. I'd say this could go as far as not even the mafia esc roles/factions not knowing who there allies are.

@Sircakez on bastard
Probably not bastard, but this will likely be different from the whole "factions" perspective. And that we probably won't be having as many people win from the town like group.

Or maybe I'm totally wrong and I should stop speculating.

Not seeing RhazhBazhshzh's statement as particularly scummy. It's an easy enough mistake to make, especially in this meta of not having D1 lynches for the most part, other than in TFMs.

LOF, it's actually about the behaviour I expect from you normally, in a closed setup with a D1 lynch in mind.

Even if I had multiple votes or half votes the mods would still show me as having one vote; it would only change when a majority is met, and even then we would know where the extra votes are coming from.

I really hope this game isnt bastard. A closed bastard game could be interesting, but for our sanity I hope it isnt the case here.

Scumreading LoF this early for something very LoF-esque would be silly
Rhazh's last closed game was a heavily bastard game so the statement is likely benign, but misguided
