As the sun sets down, the Shepherds set up camp. They know that tomorrow might be their final day in service. Stress and tensions are high among the members tonight. Intelligence has word that there are some Plegian spies inside the camp who plan to assassinate the leader of Ylisse, Emmeryn. The next morning, screams are heard. As Chrom and the Shepherds wake up and see that they're Ferox reinforcements had been butchered. Before they went to war, they had to find out the traitors in the camp.

1) This is not an official game, therefore no titles will be awarded. Bragging rights of course will always be distrubited at the end to the victors.

2) Anyone may join simply by putting /join in this thread. The first twenty five will be put on the game's roster, anyone after may join the backup and in the unfortunate case replace a player if need be.

3) After 36 hours if a player has not posted IAmAMunchlax will prod them for inactivity. If they do not reply or post within 18 hours they will be replaced. If they are prodded again, they will be replaced.

4) All Night actions and Death Notes should be sent to both IAmAMunchlax and Metrion, Day Actions and Last Wills to both as well. Please label everything appropriately; "Night Action", "Death Note", "Day Action" and "Last Will" with no mixing or grouping.

5) Players will have no whispers.

6) The buffs/changes to base roles:

Spoiler: -Grima will be able to see all night actions related to their Grimleal members.

-Agent now detects who their target visits and who visits them.

-Deserters will always case their original target, and their new target will also be cased. Roleblocks, Maiden redirects, Transports and Puppeteering affect this.

7) We do not tolerate game throwing. You will be blacklisted from future games if you attempt to do this. Refer here for more on that and the general rules. This can include "Jesting".

8) Please do not avidly spam the thread. No one can get a word in edgewise and it becomes a mess if everyone is doing it.

9) Just have fun and remember to be respectful. Do we really need to tell you this?

Spoiler: New Roles:

Mercanary ~ Can spar with a single person each night, can detect if their target has knowledge of fighting (Army Investigatives, War Cleric, Mage Knight, Mercanary, Validar, Silencer, Saboteur, Turncloak, Lunatic, Deserter and Brigand. )

Cleric or Priest ~ Can visit a single person, if they are attacked death is delayed by one day, however no one is informed nor can they be further saved.

Maiden ~ Thrice in a game they can choose to send everyone who visits them (except killing roles) to another person.

(Dark) Mage ~ Starting Day 2 they can prepare a spell and target, the spell is executed that night on the target selected beforehand, the effect will kill any Follower, Occultist or Recruit Unit, but only hurt a stronger power role, the spell will have to be used again to kill them. You are not informed of immunity. If you are not a Dark Mage you will suicide if you kill a fellow Army member, Dark Mages will only put away their tome. The Dark prefix carries over to promotions.

Occultist ~ Places a mark on one player each day and one each night, Grimleal and Neutral Killings see this the following phase. If a person with a mark is killed/lynched the phase after it was placed you will be promoted. You win with all those but the Army as this role.

Brigand ~ You may attack players starting night 1, however this takes two full nights to execute, depending on who you kill you have the choice to be promoted or not.

Army Lord - Any Killing
Army Investigative - Harbinger
Army Protective - Lunatic
Army Support - Arcane
Army Recruit - Deserter
Other - No promotion

When a Neutral Killing dies you can immediately promote into any other Neutral Killing and take action. You only win with other Neutrals besides the Merchant as a Brigand.

Detainer ~ All the power of a Jailor, with only single execution. Forced to work as more of an information gatherer.

Interrogator ~ Can jail targets in the exact manner a Detainer does. Single execution unlocked via promotion.

How promotions work:

Each day along with a lynch, the players may choose 1 person to promote, this is not determined with a set majority but rather who has the most votes, ties result in the runner up gaining a promotion. Any promotable role can be promoted with this method. You may not vote for yourself.

Grimleal Support/Deception/Recruit units may also be promoted for every 2 kills, a unique trait is that they may also change roles if they are promoted again. The Interrogator/Validar may also unlock a single independent kill with promotion.

Neutrals can also promote via their actions.

Promotions:

Mercanaries may promote to Thief or Myrmadon
Thief then can promote to Assasin or Trickster
Myrmadon then can promote to Assasin or Cavalier
Priests may promote to Sage or War Priest
Clerics may promote to Sage or Valkyrie
Maidens can promote to Dancers or Augerers
Mages can promote to Mage Knight or Sorcerer (only if dark Mage)

Followers can promote to any Support or Deception Grimleal

Occultists can promote to any Neutral Evil

Brigands can promote to any Neutral Killing

When a Villager is promoted they gain a single magic chestplate to use.

Your alignment is Army Recruit

You're not just a pretty face. After your family died at the hands of the Grimleal you vowed revenge. Without any combat potential you search for your niche among the army.

Every day starting Day 2 you may choose to prepare a spell, the spell will be executed the following night.
The effect is death for any lower roles like Occultists and Recruits of any faction. However stronger power roles require to be hit twice, and night immune roles can not be killed at all.

You are the king of this land, you have been forced into hiding and are awaiting the perfect moment for ascension.

You have the ability to reveal your mark of the exalt, showing everybody who you are, and giving you 3 votes instead of 1.
However, doing so will make it impossible for the Sage to heal you, and a top target for the Grimleal.

You own these lands, the dragons owned this land, and man doesn't deserve a single acre.

You are unkillable at night. If somebody tries to attack you, they will receive a message saying that you were immune.
You have the ability to order one death each night, which Validar will carry out for you.
If Validar is dead, or they're unable to kill for whatever reason, you will kill your target yourself.
You can communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.

Born into the order, you follow Grima's every command to ensure they prevail. With mastery in the ancient magics you steal the life force, quintessence for your master.

Each night, you have the ability to vote for who dies that night. If Grima can't act, or just doesn't order you to kill somebody, you'll be free to kill your own target.
If Grima's body dies, they will possess you and your role will become that of Grima.
You can communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.

Interrogator

Image

You are an Interrogator

Your alignment is Grimleal Killing.

You are the most ruthless of the Grimleal, the interrogator. Forcefully taking prisoners to question them and gathering information.

Each day you may choose who you will interrogate.
If both you and the Detainer select the same person they will be jailed twice.
Interrogating a person roleblocks them and makes all investigations fail, the only actions that do not fail are protectives and the Detainer's execution.
You may speak to your prisoner with a 200 word message sent when you select your target, they have the option to reply with a 1000 character message later in the night.
(Note: Interrogating a Grimleal member still removes them from the night chat.)
You appear as a Detainer to your inmate.
If there are no other kill capable Grimleal players left, your role will become that of Validar.
You can communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.

Your alignment is Grimleal Deception.

You are a Saboteur, skilled at forging documents and stopping anyone from being completely sure of who to trust.
With your skill, the Grimleal was glad to hire you in exchange for your services.

Each night, you have the ability to sabotage 1 player of your choice. If they're checked by the Thief or Myrmidon that night, it'll say they're a Grimleal member. If they're going to talk to the Cavalier, it'll say that they're the Saboteur!
If there are no other kill capable Grimleal players left, your role will become that of Validar.

Enticer

Image

You are an Enticer

Your alignment is Grimleal Support.

You were once a Dancer, giving away services to give your clients pleasure in exchange for money.
You hated it however, and felt used every night.
One night a member of the Grimleal murdered one of your more hated clients with you in the room, you quickly took the chance and begged for a job. You are now a devout Grimleal and would gladly die for the cause.

Every night, you can choose to target 1 player.
You'll distract them that night, roleblocking them.
Your target will be informed that they were roleblocked.
However, if the person you visit turns out to be a Lunatic or a Deserter, you become their target.
You are immune to being roleblocked.
If there are no other kill capable Grimleal players left, your role will become that of Validar.

Agent

Image

You are an Agent

Your alignment is Grimleal Support.

A shadow, that's how you were raised. You were never paid any thought or attention as you grew up in the Grimleal. All they did was feed you with doubt that you'd be worth it. Now it's time to prove yourself, earn your keep. With your upbringing sneaking around is a cinch. This army won't know what killed them.

Each night, you have the ability to tail someone, you see who they visit that night. You will also see people who visit them, if anyone does.
If there are no other kill capable Grimleal players left, your role will become that of Validar.

Informant

Image

You are an Informant

Your alignment is Grimleal Support.

Two-face, deceiver, beguiler, you've heard it all. Just not directed towards you. As an exceptionally good spy you can get exactly what information you want just by asking the right questions.

Every night, you can choose to target 1 player.
You'll talk them that night, finding out their exact role.
This fails if the target is being detained.
If there are no other kill capable Grimleal players left, your role will become that of Validar.
You can communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.

Silencer

Image

You are a Silencer

Your alignment is Grimleal Deception.

You have been contracted by the Grimleal. You do not care for the situation nor the future; you have been contracted. Born a mute, you've been nicknamed the Silencer after your calculated assassinations that leave no traces.

Each night, you can choose to silence a player. If that player dies that night, their role won't be revealed to the town upon death. However, you WILL see what their role is.
Their last will will also be revealed to you and hidden from the rest of the town.
It doesn't matter who kills your target or what side your target is on, the only thing that matters is that they need to die that night for your skill to work.
If your target doesn't die, it will still use up one of your silences.
You can only choose to silence a target 3 times during the entire game.
If there are no other kill capable Grimleal players left, your role will become that of Validar.
You can communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.

Image

Your alignment is Grimleal Deception.

You were a once great actor, now converted into the Grimleal with their faith. You can fool the most observant people with your costumes and antics.

Every night you may choose which non-recruit role you would like to appear as, this will completely fool Cavaliers. You may also visit someone each night and change their appearance to that of a Masquerader, the Trickster will see who your target visits instead of you.
While deceiving Cavaliers, a Thief or Myrmidon's investigation on the other hand will see through your masquerade.
If there are no other kill capable Grimleal players left, your role will become that of Validar.
You can communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.

If someone tries to roleblock you, you will attack them instead of your chosen target.

Each night, you may hex one player, or ignite all of your hexed targets.
Your method of killing ignores night immunity.
You cover up your tracks very well, and you will appear not to be suspicious to Thieves or Myrmidons.
You are unkillable at night. If somebody tries to attack you, they will receive a message saying that you were immune.
You win if only you and Grima or a Lunatic remain.

You win with Arcanes
You win with Merchants
You win with Puppeteer and Occultists
You win with Brigands
You must kill the Army
You must kill the Grimleal
You must kill Lunatics

Begrudged

Image

You are a Begrudged

Your alignment is Neutral Evil.

(target's name), how you loath them. Realizing how little you care for the Army you've decided to issue some retribution onto (target's name) and side with whomever you feel like.

You are unkillable at night. If somebody tries to attack you, they will receive a message saying that you were immune.
You will also receive a message stating you were attacked.
Your goal is to get your target lynched by a majority vote.
If you succeed at this, you've won the game, and will be allowed to spend the rest of the game however you wish.
However, if your target dies at night, you will become the Jester.

You win with the Army
You win with the Grimleal
You win with Merchants
You win with Puppeteer and Occultists
You win with Arcanes
You win with Lunatics
You win with Deseters
You must kill Harbingers
You may spare anyone else

Jester

Image

You are a Jester

Your alignment is Neutral Evil.

Your goal is.... You don't have any!
You just cause mayhem, annoying the army and grimleal alike.

You win the game by being lynched during the day by a majority vote.
You lose the game by dying during the night.

if you get lynched during the day, that night you get to choose one of the players that voted for you who will die from guilt. This ability bypasses any form of night immunity, including being healed by a Sage.

Will you pick the lord, Grima, or just that guy you don't like? it's all possible with a wildcard like the Jester.

You win with the Army
You win with the Grimleal
You win with Merchants
You win with Puppeteers and Occultists
You win with Arsonists
You win with Serial Killers
You win with Deserters
You must kill Harbingers
You win with Brigands
You may spare anyone else

Puppeteer

Image

You are a Puppeteer

Your alignment is Neutral Evil.

A straggler from a past battle you've infiltrated the Army for revenge. This time armed with a powerful dark tome that lets you control others.

Every night, you can choose somebody to control, and somebody who you want your controlled player to use their ability on.
You won't be informed of the end result of your controlling, or even if the one you controlled had an ability to use at all!
You'll have to pay close attention to learn people's abilities and use them to make the army suffer.
Your expertise in magic also taught you defensive spells. You have perfected a magical immunity shield, which shrouds your body.
It will discharge the instant you are attacked without protection. The shield will only work against spells, direct combat, and hexes.
Once the shield has discharged, these attacks will harm you, like any other non-magic user.
The attacker will only know of your immunity to their attack. The Sorcerer and Detainer pierce this shield.
You are immune to being roleblocked.

You win with the Puppeteers and Occultists
You win with Brigands
You win with Merchants
You win with the Grimleal
You win with Arcanes
You win with Lunatics
You win with Deserters
You must kill the Army
You must kill Harbingers
You may spare anyone else

Occultist

Image

You are an Occultist

Your alignment is Neutral Evil.

You are a brilliant yet perhaps insane member of a long forgotten cult. With a settle to score against the Ylissians you now find yourself in the middle of this conflict. Using your skills and strategy you decide to help those who choose to stay hidden while you sort out just what you will do.

Every phase you may choose to cast a mark onto a player secretly.
This mark activates the next phase and all Grimleal/Neutral Killings will see who it is placed on.
If the marked player is attacked, hexed, cased or a Harbinger visits you will know.
If the above happens you may promote, with the exception of the Harbinger unless they succesfully start their spell.
You may also promote if the target you choose to mark at night is lynched the next day.

You win with the Puppeteers and Occultists
You win with Brigands
You win with Merchants
You win with the Grimleal
You win with Arcanes
You win with Lunatics
You win with Deserters
You must kill the Army
You must kill Harbingers
You may spare anyone else

Merchant

Image

You are a Merchant

You are a simple Merchant who doesn't care about the conflict, instead you adore money. All you want to do is sell your goods and live a humble (and rich) life.
The folks though, don't seem to care you aren't involve in the battle, so this has become a survival game for you, you just hope to live to the end of it.

Every night, you may choose to wear a Magic Chestplate. Anyone who tries to bring you harm that night will only revive a message notifying them that their foe was immune. This Magic Chestplate may be strong, but it still can't protect you from the Arcane's fire or Jester's revenge.
Since the Magic Chestplate is second hand already, it's effects wear off after using it for more than 3 times.

You win with the Army
You win with the Grimleal
You win with Merchants
You win withArcanes
You win with Puppeteers and Occultists
You win with Lunatics
You win with Deserters
You must kill Harbringers
You must kill Brigands
You may spare anyone else

Turncloak

Image

You are an Turncloak

Your alignment is Neutral Benign.

Scouting out what happens with the impending battle you wait for a corpse to loot and switch to the winning side.

You may become any role that has died, except for Unique Roles (Rightful King, Tome Lord, Grima, etc).
You choose this role at night, and become your chosen role after dawn if successful.
The role you choose shall become visible to everybody, and you may begin taking actions from that new role the next night.
Once you select your role, you will receive a new Role Card corresponding to your selected role.

To win, you must first select a role - you then win with whoever that role would win with!
As a Turncloak, you do not win just by surviving to the end of the game, you must select a role to win, otherwise you do not win.

Deserter

Image

You are a Deserter.

Your alignment is Neutral Killing.

You've come from Valm to the West. A traitor, disgraced. To regain your honour you've decide to conquer this land. With stealth and subtrefuge you take on the task of killing everyone off one by one.

Each night, you may case one person's house.
You will assassinate your selected targets two nights after you begin casing them.
Your targets will not know they are being cased, until the night you assassinate.
You may case a new target each night, this stacks.
Your method of killing ignores night immunity, and any Town Protectives trying to stop this attack will fail to do so.
You are night immune. You are also immune to being assassinated by other Deserters.
If someone tries to roleblock you (including the Detainer/Interrogator), you will case your roleblocker.
Once you begin casing a target, nothing can save them unless you die before the night you decide to assasinate.

You win with Deserters
You win with the Puppeteers and Occultists
You win with Brigands
You win with Merchants
You must kill the Army
You must kill the Grimleal
You must kill Arcanes
You must kill Lunatics
You must kill Harbingers
You must kill everyone else

Martyr

Image

You are a Martyr

Your alignment is Neutral Benign.

You are coming to the end of your days, you've lived a long happy life. While you accept that your time has come, you do not want your wisdom to die out. Long ago you researched phantoms and decide to begin the ritual to serve a master until you have taught them all there is.

Once a Day or Night, you can inform the Game Moderator you wish to channel spiritual energy during a phase.
If you die doing this, your body will appear as Cleaned, and you may choose to serve someone the following night for the rest of the game.
You may only perform this ritual five times. You cannot serve people who vote to lynch you.
After you have chosen to serve a master, you may both communicate via 5, 200-character limit whispers every Night Phase.
You can also choose to haunt someone's house for your master, revealing everyone who visits that person for you that night.
You cannot haunt your master's house.
You win if your efforts help your Master's side win the game.
You lose if your efforts fail to help your Master's side win the game, or if you die without performing the ritual.

Harbinger

Image

You are a Harbinger.

Your alignment is Neutral Killing.

Death, chaos, destruction! You care not for good nor evil, you just want to bring the ultimate nothingness! Those who don't heed your warning will die.

Each night, you may visit one person. If they are attacked you harness their power to use.
Using that power you add it to your own to wrought a spell of destruction.
Once the spell starts, a warning is sent to the Army that a Harbinger is bringing destruction.
After 3 following nights, the spell will be cast, killing everybody including you.
The only way to stop the spell is to kill the Harbinger who is casting first.
You are night immune.

You win with Harbingers
You must kill the Army
You must kill the Grimleal
You must kill Arcanes
You must kill Lunatics
You must kill Merchants
You must kill the Puppeteers and Occultists
You must kill Deserters
You must kill Brigands
You must kill everyone else

Brigand

Image

You are a Brigand

Your alignment is Neutral Killing.

You weren't always a lowlife criminal, back when you had a wife, kids, a home. That's all gone now. With a chip on your shoulder, the Grimleal have no hold on you now. With no care for the army who cannot protect anyone and even less for the dastard Grima you come looking for knowledge, money, revenge and finally atonement.

At night you may select a person you wish to attack.
You will attack them the following night.
Depending who you kill you may promote:
Army Lord = Any Neutral Killing
Army Investigative = Harbinger
Army Protective = Lunatic
Army Support = Arcane
Army Recruit = Deserter
Other = No promotion
When a Neutral Killing dies you may immediately promote the next night, however you cannot become a Neutral Killing that has died.
You are night immune.

You win with Brigands
You win with the Puppeteers and Occultists
You win with Arcanes
You win with Lunatics
You win with Deserters
You must kill the Army
You must kill the Grimleal
You must kill Merchants
You must kill Harbingers

I'm not worried about what happened before, as long as it doesn't happen again.
Always called Vinyl Scratch these days.

I enjoy playing Town of Salem, but will never risk a ban to do what others think is right that I know is wrong.

Always called Vinyl Scratch these days.

I enjoy playing Town of Salem, but will never risk a ban to do what others think is right that I know is wrong.
