Kevin is not at home, he is in New York and he is not alone, he spends most of the movie in a hotel but the little shit decides not to tell anybody he's lost. When he's gonna get caught for commiting fraud he escapes by threatening everyone with what they believe is a gun. So basically he is an incodsiderate brat who puts everyone in danger then plays the victim when his idiocy puts him in danger.
