Here's the thing though. Town automatically loses the game if they lynch too many villagers. If you're actually town, policy lynching you is not great. We don't know how many villagers can die for the game to end. Thus, if you're town, you shouldn't be viewing policy lynching you as a great solution.

fam you policy lynching me regardless of my alignment isn't great
it's prowincon to survive but it's ++wincon for town!me to find scum, or scum!me to distance from scumbuddies

so i'm gonna keep focusing on finding scum. ideally people will be sharp enough to realise that i was gambiting and not scum, but policy lynches are what they are.

checking whether your tonality changed when i became truly absurd
if it didn't, you probably sincerely believed you'd caught me
if it did, you're more likely to (from a guilty mindset) realise that i'm being absurd and start to feel uncomfortable with the conversation

your only change was that you became *MORE* like gottem! which i found extremely earnest and anti-guilt indicative

i'm fine with being scumread - maybe a year ago it used to piss me right off but i consider it more of a compliment towards my abilities as scum / depth of range of stuff I can do as either town or scum

strongly prefer doing things that assist in sorting players to doing things that make me look towny as town
strongly prefer doing things that make me look towny rather than tricking other slots into alignment spewing as scum
