Night chat while jailed

As Mafia/Vampire, being able to read the night chat while jailed is more a hindrance than it is useful.

I sometimes wind up replying to one of my team's messages instead of the Jailor's, which gets me instantly executed. (-_-)

A possible change is to grey out your team's chat while you are jailed, whilst the Jailor's messages remain as is, or even disabling the chat altogether.

Information like a cleaned target's role can wait until the next night; its not like I can use it IN JAIL.

Seeing maf/vamp chat in jail is actually useful, as your teammates can feed you information to help convince the jailor of your claim. A consign could give you their invest results, or a vampire who was formerly sheriff or investigator. I've played games where one of my fellow mafs have been jailed, and others are telling them to claim or not claim a particular role, and then gives them info to support their claim many times.

If you end up replying to your teammates message, you clearly aren't being observant enough of the chat, because the "You have been hauled off to jail" message is the first thing that pops up at night.

Although, with that said, a change in the jail text has been suggested in the past to make it more easy for players to differentiate between jailed and maf chat. Could it be wise for them to put it in? Perhaps.

Hmm... fair enough. I do notice the "You have been hauled off to jail" message though. Its just that the chat becomes cluttered while I'm trying to think through my claim, and that "helpful maf" situation has never happened for me XD. Some of them don't even share their results on normal nights, even if I repeatedly question them.

If you accidentally reply to your team's messages, you aren't very focused. Git gud.

Before taking it away entirely I'd like them to simply highlight the jailor chat to make it more obvious. I think that would eliminate the confusion without taking away the advantage of Maf chat feeding you info

^ This. One of my favourite games as mafia was when there were only two of us (a friend of mine who's way better than this at me and I), and he fed me word for word what to say. It was great
