Patch Notes 1.2.0

Hey Townies!

Today is the day. We are releasing patch 1.2.0. This is a big patch, and will include a ton of new features. We are adding in a new role called the Forger, the Scroll system, a new pirate themed bundle, a new Refer-A-Friend system, new pets, new maps, new skins, new houses, fixes to Elo, we added Rainbow mode to the Chaos games, and did some UI reworking. We will be bringing down the server soon, and it will take at least 2 hours to get the patch live! Please be patient while we patch.

Features:
New Refer a Friend system!

Elo Fixes
* Elo you gain/lose is now based on the role you were in game.

Forger
* The Forger is a new Mafia deception role which can replace the last will of a person. The next time you see a last will, there's a chance you can't trust it!


Scroll System
* The scroll system will allow you to increase you chance of being the role you want to be! NOTE: Scrolls do not work in Ranked play.


Boatload of Swag Starter Pack
* This Pirate themed starter pack has everything you need as a new player or a grizzled veteran.


New Characters
* Grim Reaper is the reward for successfully referring 5 friends.

* Forger skin (see Forger above)

New Pets
* Friend, Not Food is the reward for successfully referring 3 friends.

* XJ-0462 is the cutest robot around!


New Maps
* Land Before Time


New Houses
* No Trespassing



New Lobby Icon
* The Grim icon is the reward for successfully referring 2 friends.


Rainbow Mode
* A chaos game type that has a pretty role list!

New Login UI
* The new Login screen has it's own creepy music and new artwork!

Thank you for the update, I was wondering why Town of Salem was down, and then remembered there was a forum (this is my first post yay!) so I decided to come check it out to see why it was down. I am excited for the update to be finished!

FInally it's out! Good work, this patch is adding interesting things to the game. I have two questions:
1)Will there be any leaderboard already?
2)Is ranked still pre-season?

Been trying to get back on for 2 hours now, I assumed it has finished patching but it might be my computer, It says Error connecting to server. Please try again. I've cleared my cache to see if that would help but nothing worked, is this still patching up or is it just my computer?

The new Login UI has this "good first impression" look, it is great, both music and the artwork are beautiful and fit the game theme (and the music does not irritate after a while, I started browsing net with the Login page open, after 15 minutes i realised something is playing in the back and I don't want it to stop .

Did you only change the ELO-system to be more balanced, or did you fix the bugs as well (i.e. gaining ELO-rating when you lose the game and vice versa)?

... it counts if you just refer them to the browser version, right?
