Strange Serial killer, jester, and jailor interaction

I was playing a ranked game after the new update. I was a doctor and healed the jailor. The day before we lynched the jester who decided to kill the jailor. The jailor had jailed the serial killer that night who ended up attacking the jailor. Since I was protecting the jailor, they were protected from the serial killer and the serial killer did not appear as a cause of death. The only cause of death was the jester. For some reason the jailor's will was still bloodied and unreadable as if the serial killer had killed them instead of the jester even though I had protected him from the serial killer's attack. We should have still been able to read the jailor's will.

I think the way the bloodied will works is like a Janitor or a Forger. Even if the Mafia’s attack fails, as long as the target dies that night, it will show their will as bloodied
