Sheriff Bug

I got sheriff twice recently. The first game at some point in the game, everyone i checked was innocent but there was a Hex Master alive. I dont have the evidence(screenshot for this game). The second game i played with sheriff, i checked jailor and he came up suspicious.

The Hex Master comes up as innocent when they got the Necronomicon. The Jailor could have been framed, hexed or transported when you checked them.
