Browser game crashes after prompt

On Firefox, if you accidentally click the "back" button (whether it's in the browser or, more likely, a button on your mouse), the game shows a popup asking "are you sure you want to leave?". If you click "stay on page", the game crashes with some Unity error that "the PlayerLoop internal function has been called recursively". There is no way to reconnect, so this minor mistake results in game over, -30 elo.
