The developers have confirmed that this is intentional behaviour, and explained why it was changed:

The Godfather will visit their target if the Mafioso is role blocked or jailed.

The douse indicator still appeared despite the fact that the target was not actually doused. Shouldn't this still be categorised as a bug?

Your corpse was probably used by a Retributionist or Necromancer. Most notifications you would normally receive are instead forwarded to the player controlling you, but for some reason this is not the case for the Ambusher identity notification.

This is a case of the "Pirate bug". If an Escort is duelled by a Pirate, they can still select a target as normal, but the ability won't work. You will still visit your target, but the role-block won't happen. You can read about the wider scope of the bug here: https://www.blankmediagames....

Ezra is correct. Serial Killer was buffed in patch 3.2.5, which was the Neutral Killing Buffs update. Serial Killer is now able to attack it's original target regardless of any role-blockers, and can choose whether or not to score secondary kills on role-blockers by use of their togglable 'Cautious'...

What was your role? If you were Escort, you might have caused a secondary attack from the Serial Killer.

This is the result of the stalemate detector. The stalemate detector activates in certain 1v1 situations in order to prevent a draw. This is intended behaviour, not a bug.

I think this is too complicated to be a viable idea. Special gamemodes should ideally have a simple and memorable concept, without too many additional mechanics. These role changes also feel quite arbitrary, which would make it even harder for newcomers to learn and understand.
