Before I start here is a little more information about the genie:
They have free will, meaning they can be good or evil. Genies cannot directly kill (this is how the idea popped up in my head), but they can give their master weapons, they cannot force someone to fall in love with anyone else. They also are incapable of necromancy and have no power over the dead. They cannot return someone to life in any way, shape or form.

ABOUT THE ROLE:


Role Name: Genie (Neutral Benign)
Summary: You are a mythical being who is stuck in a lamp.. forever...

Spoiler: Abilities: During the day, choose your master for the night. During the night, make their wish come true.

Attributes:
- You can make your master's wish come true or you can manipulate your master's wish and harm them.
- You can manipulate a wish only 2 times.
- You can only choose the same player once.

Attack: None
Defense: None
Roleblock immunity
Detection Immunity
Bite Immunity
Witch Immunity

Sheriff: Your target is NS.
Investigator: Ret/Janitor/Medium/Necromancer/Trapper/Genie
Witch/CL/Consig/PM: Your target is stuck in a lamp, they must be a Genie!

Goal: Working on it.
Wins with: Everyone.



MECHANICS

-The genie does not visit you, you visit the genie.
- Click on your name to manipulate the wish.
- As the master, first you pick a target and then the wish via a special menu.
- The Master will know if you manipulate a wish.
- When the master choses his wish you will get the message "Your master wants you to X this Z. (X- wish Z- player)"
- You roleblock your master.
- If your master does not pick a wish or a target, you do not get a message and nothing happens. You can target him again.
- If your master does not pick a wish, you do not get a message and nothing happens. You can target him again.
- If your master is in jail, it will say it at the beginning of the night, though he won't get any messages. You can target him again. (same with pirated players)

Wishes: (wish in purple and the manipulation of the wish in dark red)
Spoiler: Genie, please investigate my target. (The master gets the results, goes though framing, dousing and hexing.)
The master will get his own investigative result. (doesn't matter if transed)
Genie, please heal my target.
You will heal yourself
Oh, genie, please roleblock my target.
You will roleblock the master the next night.
Genie, please silence my target.
You will silence the master
Genie, please purge my target
You decide who gets purged (via second button)
Genie, please transport my target with another player. (you choose the second target via a second button/ cannot change the first target)
The master will get transported with his target.
Genie, please watch my target tonight to see who visits them. (master gets the results)
You will watch whoever you want (via a second button)



MESSAGES

- A genie will make your wish come true. Choose a target and a wish. ( Master getting the notification at the beginning of the night)
- Oh, Genie, please *wish* this *playernamehere*! (Genie gets this message when master chooses wish and target)
- A genie manipulated your wish! (when genie manipulates a wish)
- You were silenced by a genie! (when the genie silences a player.)
- You were roleblocked by a genie! (when the genie roleblocks a player.)
- You were transported by a genie! (when genie transports someone w someone)
- You were purged by a genie. (when genie purges you)


ACHIEVEMENTS

Stuck! - win one game as Genie. (20MP)
Wish Granter - Win 5 games as Genie. (20MP)
You have to rub me the right way! - Win 10 game as Genie. (20MP)
Still Trapped! - Win 25 games as Genie. (100MP)
Arsonist's most trustworthy helper - win with the arsonist. (50MP)
Master of Manipulation - Manipulate a wish 15 times. (80MP)

OK , make it so it can make 1 wish for the Genie in a game.

To not make it TOO OP.

And , now i will expect others still complaining that this role may be as annoying as vampire.

What do you mean by that? So you are suggesting that it can only have one master and make their wish come true/manipulate the wish only once, after that it can't choose a master. I think that would make the role very boring. I don't see how it's op because the Genie can only choose the same player once, and manipulate a wish twice, plus right now it's very townsided, I'm going to add more wishes that are better for ever than for town. (even though every single wish is good for mafia, and not every is good for town, unless town wants to frame mafia lol.)

I know that (I said it at the end of the thread) but I cannot think of anything. If it's just "Make 3/5 wishes come true" that would be too easy. It's hard. Anyways, what do you think about the role?

It needs a goal that fits, and if there is no goal that fits, then it's not going to work. Address that first.

What about... "Have 5 different masters in 1 game, you must survive with at least 2 of them until the end of the game." And before you say "then manipulations are useless", no they are still pretty useful. For example, someone wants to silence your last target, but you've decided to side with him. Also, this is a very townsided role at the moment.

Agree that survival doesn't work as a goal.

I'm not a fan of NB's that can investigate, since evil factions get significantly more value out of it than town.

I mean, only the master gets it, and the master can be any role, and actually, right now the Genie is more townsided, with a lot of abilities town would use, but also evils.

This is actually a really interesting role.
It's only town sided in situations where the mafia are doing really bad.

Also I love the profile picture, That definitely didn't happen in Ranked.

is there a reason why you would want to mess with a wish? just to be a troll?

i dont see the point of doing so in fact it goes against a your goal casue messing up ur wish may get ur master killed which goes against the goal

That goal is temporary, I'm thinking of another one, maybe will add a poll about it later today, The manipulating of the wishes may save your life, your master can silence/invest/transport you as well, plus if your master wants to heal himself, but you think you'll get attacked, you can manipulate his wish and heal yourself.

Well yeah but town needs the abilities more, like rbing, investigating, watching and sometimes even purging.

This is 'town-sided' more then scum sided because there's frankly more town than scum meaning it's more likely to find a town/good person to make it's master.
The goal could be to successfully make 6 wishes come true or smth I dunno or maybe help your first master's faction win?

Hm.. that's actually a pretty good idea, but it's going to make the role even more town-sided. What about, second target? Because by Day 2 there will be maximum 2 town dead, which will make the chance higher of getting an evil master. Now that I think about it, the goal is kinda everything because you can't have this role in ranked or RP, only in Any or Custom, (where there are equal amount of scum and town. I'm adding it to the poll, and I will give you credit of course.
