Small thread, but I enjoy writing so would be happy to provide role ideas with lore (a paragraph or two, around the same size as the lore on the wiki) if you'd like some for your suggestion. Just link me the suggestion thread and I'll see what I can do.
Hopefully this will inspire some of you to come up with more ingenious role ideas.

Announcer -
Spoiler:
The vigilante sat bolt upright in bed, unable to sleep due to the torrential downpour that was falling over Salem, accompanied by the frightful clashing of thunder and the strangely beautiful sight of a bolt of lightning hitting the house of a suspected Witch. The vigilante stared out the window, observing the beautiful sight of the sublime.
All of a sudden, the Vigilante was snapped out of his nature-induced trance by the sound of floorboards creaking on the other side of his bedroom door. The paranoiac grabbed his gun and aimed it at the door, just as it swung open. Not daring to hesitate in case it cost him his life, the Vigilante pulled the trigger and the shadowy figure collapsed in a pool of crimson blood, dead. After flicking on the lights, the Vigilante was met with the grievous sight of his wife lying face down on the floor. He had killed his very own wife, a sleepwalking amnesiac. The vigilante dragged her motionless corpse to the town center before returning to his home, unable to return to sleep due to the feeling that he was being watched.
The sun rose over Salem the next day, and the townspeople all emerged from their abodes to the sight of a dead amnesiac. When the Investigator enquired as to her cause of death, the Vigilante spoke up. "It was the mafia!" He yelled, "I saw it with my own eyes, they killed her in her sleep!". After hours of deliberation, the case was ruled as another mafia attack and the people of Salem returned home.
The Vigilante was trying to sleep when he heard a knock on the door. He had dismantled his gun, but still felt the need to answer the door in case his wife has returned to him from beyond the grave. A man stood at the door, showing the Vigilante an array of images which had been taken the previous night. "Follow me, or these pictures will make their way to the Mayor before daybreak", the Blackmailer said. Left with no choice, the defenceless man followed the Blackmailer to the mafia headquarters, leaving the title of Vigilante behind. The mafia acquired a new member that night, and he came to be known as "The Announcer".
Assassin -
Spoiler:
The Sheriff was always feared for his unorthodox interrogation methods that made even the most emotionless of criminals confess to their crimes. His colleagues called it torture, but the Sheriff was dismissive of their claims, stating it was merely "Justice in action". The Sheriff was always very hardline and uncompromising, but his ultimate undoing was when someone he sentenced to death was eventually found to have been framed by a heinous member of the Mafia.
The Sheriff was promptly dismissed by the Town Mayor, but this only fueled the Sheriff's rage, and he spent the following days sitting in his house trying to figure out exactly who had set him up. The Sheriff was eventually tipped off by an old friend of his, the Investigator. He knocked on the door of his soon-to-be victim and was promptly invited inside, coming face to face with his target and the Mayor, who was presumably there on important business. As night fell over Salem, two terrifying screams echoed through the streets before silence fell.
"No witnesses", the Sheriff said to himself as he left the house for the final time. The town reconvened the next day to the sight of the Mayor's body lying motionless in the centre of the town, next to the mangled corpse of what was once the Framer. The Assassin smirked as he observed the scene before him, knowing that the one who had once set him up was no more.
Coward -
Spoiler:
The man continued running, evading his pursuer by any means necessary as he fled through the tangled trees that were strewn throughout the seemingly endless forest. He heard a scream from behind him but dared not look back; for he knew he was no hero.
A bright light attracted the man's attention and he sprinted towards it, becoming more fatigued with each stride he took closer to what he could only hope was safety. The light glistened, illuminating the decayed sign that stood beneath. "Salem", the sign read. The man knew he had no choice but to follow the road ahead, seeing a row of houses in the distance and hearing the sound of sticks snapping underfoot from behind him, signalling that his pursuer was still hot on his heels.
After what felt like hours of running in place, the man reached the nearest house and desperately pounded on the door, praying that its occupant was home and willing to accept moribund visitors. To his delight, the door swung open and an elderly woman stood before him. She ushered him inside as he broke down before her, desperately trying to explain his situation. She laid him down in the spare room with a large open window, allowing the moon to shine in and illuminate the room. The sound of a doorbell filled the mans ears, and he was paralysed with fear. The sound of a door opening followed by a horrifying scream echoed through the house, and the man exited the house through the window, hitting the ground running.
The coward ran off into the shadows once again, looking back at the house to see the Serial Killer staring at him from the window with the moon reflecting off his black jacket which had been stained with the blood of the coward's temporary protector. The coward let out a sigh of relief as he vanished into the forest, knowing he had lived to die another day.
Impeder -
Spoiler:
As a child, the impeder was always tormented by his teacher for distracting his classmates. After failing exam after exam alongside his friends, the young boy was kicked out of his school and was left to roam the streets of Salem in search of work as his family disowned him, labelling him as a failure. The future impeder was forced to beg in order to make a living, spending hours sitting next to houses daily in the hopes that he would be fortunate enough to be handed something of value.
One fateful evening, the young boy witnessed something which would change his life forever. The town investigator strode past him on his way home, not even hesitating to take a look at the poverty-stricken boy who lived in the squalor of the shadows. Suddenly, a ghostly figure emerged from the darkness behind the investigator, and the moon shone upon the tool of destruction that he held in his arm, poised to strike down the oblivious detective. Seeing this, the inquisitive young boy made his way over to the man who was ready to kill, tugging on his shirt. The man looked down at the boy with a stern expression before looking back at his target, cursing as he was hit with the realisation that the Investigator had escaped into the shadows in the precious few seconds he had spent looking at the child who had mysteriously materialised before him.
The Godfather now returned his gaze to the young boy who stood before him, offering his arm to the child. Overcome by this act of kindness, the young boy grasped his outstretched his arm and was taken back to the dwelling of the Mafia. It was here that the young boy grew into a young man, pledging his allegiance to the mafia and being trained further in the art of distraction by a beautiful consort. The impeder turned cold and callous over the years, but he never forgot the Godfather's act of kindness that had saved him from starvation.
Laserbearer -
Spoiler:
The result of a science experiment gone awry, the Laserbearer was thought to be a mere myth by many up until one fateful eve where a man dedicated to tempt fate, wandering into the long-abandoned science laboratory where the legend of the Laserbearer had originated from.
The smell of smoke filled his lungs as he advanced through the patient's ward, unable to make out much in the darkness that engulfed the facility. The man fumbled with his flashlight but managed to turn it on eventually, drawing back in horror as it shone upon a headless corpse sitting in a chair. The man gasped in horror and put a hand against the crimson painted wall to steady himself, only to be horrified once again as what he had thought to have been wallpaper turned out to be a coating of blood.
Terrified, the man sprinted back the way he came, looking for the exit to the labyrinth he had so foolishly entered. Dead end after dead end faced the unfortunate adventurer, but just as he thought all hope was lost, he made out the figure of a girl in the shadows, observing him. She had a tag around her wrist and her clothes were torn, but the only thing that mattered to the man was if she knew the way out of this Hell he had become trapped within. He cried out in joy as she moved towards him, but that cry of joy quickly turned into a cry of terror as a harsh light emenating from her very being engulfed him.
The man was found outside the entrance to the laboratory the next day by a Doctor who was passing by on their way to visit a poisoned patient. The Doctor was knowledgable in the arts, but even he failed to explain to the townspeople of Salem what could have burned a circular hole through the torso of the deceased, leaving nothing behind but the smell of smoke.
[extra part that idk about] The amnesiac stared at the scene, and, for the first time in many years, he remembered. The laboratory, his time as a researcher, the experiment, the fallout; all of it.
Time Keeper -
Spoiler:
A petrichor filled the Time Keeper's lungs as he awoke to find himself lying on his back in the middle of the town, raindrops bouncing off his face as he looked upwards into the eye of the storm. Exerting a great portion of his remaining strength, he dragged himself to his feet and made his way towards the house of his target.
The guardian of time peered through a window into the house, making out the silhouette of the Doctor, who was packing up his belongings as he prepared to go and watch over a townsperson for the night in case the Coven struck once again. Little did the Doctor know, that the man he planned on saving was a grizzly veteran with a horrific past that had left him paranoid of the outside world. However, the Time Keeper knew this, and he also knew how it all ended, for he had seen it with his own two eyes. Now, the Time Keeper had created his very own wormhole and travelled through it, desperately trying to prevent the tragedy by bending the very fabric of time.
The Doctor opened the door of his house and hugged his young daughter before shutting the door in an attempt to prevent the rain from getting in, coming face to face with the time traveller. The time traveller attempted to explain to the Doctor why he couldn't visit his patient that night, but the Doctor was ultimately dismissive of his pleading, labelleling the traverser of time as an insane Jester who should be seeking asylum elsewhere. In a last-ditch effort, the Time keeper grabbed the Doctor and attempted to physically restrain him, but he quickly found himself overpowered as he had been drastically weakened by his time-tampering. The Time Keeper once again found himself lying on his back, fading into unconsciousness as the relentless rain hammered down upon him from the Heavens above. He heard the Doctor's footsteps grow more and more distant before drifting away into the dreamworld.
The sun rose over Salem the next day, and the Time Traveller was met with a familiar sight as he dragged his weak body to the town's center.
Hopefully this is allowed.
